Integrated signing
After negotiating and finalizing the agreement on TTConnect, several options are available for signing the agreement:
FPSign: Signing via FP Sign is fully integrated into TTConnect. Once finalized, the Agreement file is
automatically uploaded to FP Sign, the signing process is automatically started, and when the signatures are complete the
fully executed file is automatically downloaded to TTConnect. For this, an account with FP Sign is required.
TTConnect:
Agreements can be signed online directly on the TTConnect website. During this process, signees are required to validate their email addresses using a PIN
that is sent to their email address and is only valid a few minutes. This is similar to an advanced electronic
signature, except that the final PDF document is not 'sealed' with a digital certificate. We plan to implement this last step in the
future - please let us know if you are interested. For now, this can be used to sign agreements that do not require an Advanced
Digital Signature.
Sign wet & upload scanned PDF: The agreement can be printed out on paper, signed wet, scanned-in, and uploaded to TTConnect
as a PDF.
Use an external service: Any external 3rd party signing service can be used, and the final, signed document can be
uploaded to TTConnect.
Signing via FPSign and TTConnect are both seamlessly integrated into the online workflow.
The Technology Transfer office of the institution providing the materials and/or data decide which signing modality is used for any
individual transfer agreement.
In the future we plan to fully integrate additional 3rd party signature services such as DocuSign. If you are interested in this, please
email us.
