Transfer Agreement categories
Categories
To help organize your Transfer Agreements, the TTConnect platform sorts them into the following categories:
Ongoing: These are agreements that the two parties are currently negotiating or are in the process of signing.
You will find them in the "Ongoing MTAs/DTAs" section of your dashboard. Transfer Agreements enter this category
the moment a member of your institution starts a new Transfer Agreement, and they exit this category upon completion of signatures.
Action Pending: These are Ongoing Agreements that require your attention because you need to do something, or because
there is a message related to this Agreement which you need to read. These Agreements are sorted out and flagged
in your dashboard so you don't overlook them. In this way, by looking at the "Actions Pending" section of your dashboard, you
have a quick and easy overview of the Agreements requiring your input.
Completed: These are Agreements that are fully executed, and no longer need your attention. They are stored in the "Completed"
section of your dashboard in case you want to access them in the future.
Terminated: These are Agreements that were prematurely terminated without signing by either of the two parties. When one
of the two parties terminates an agreement, the other party receives an email notification, and these agreements will appear in the
"Terminated" section of both parties' dashboards.
Deferred: Some times it happens that an Agreement "stalls" - for instance, if you don't hear back from the other party. To avoid that
such Agreements clutter your "Ongoing" category, you can put the Agreement into the "Deferred" category. In this case, the
other party is not notified - the Agreement will still appear as "Ongoing" for the other party.
Deletion
Transfer Agreements can be deleted by either party, regardless of the category. If the Agreement is not "Completed", then deletion happens
as soon as both parties agree, or after 28 days, whichever happens first. If one party wishes to delete an Agreement, the other party is
notified by email to give them time to react. If, instead, the Agreement is "Completed" and hence legally binding, only the Technology Transfer
offices of the two parties can request deletion.
